Why Save Web Pages as PDF? 为什么需要将网页存为PDF？
Recently, I’ve been using AI knowledge bases like NotebookLM and others, and I’ve found that none of them can properly reference web content—including but not limited to WeChat official articles and various blog posts. I realized that, in the age of AI, having a high-quality PDF converter is essential before feeding information to these systems…
To address this, I tried numerous web-to-PDF tools and browser extensions, but all had significant drawbacks: some generated excessively large files, some produced downloaded files with garbled and unreadable names, and others required lengthy operational workflows—often three to four steps just to convert one PDF.
That’s why I developed what I believe is the simplest PDF extension ever.
最近使用notebookLM以及ima等智能知识库，他们都无法很好的引用网页。包括但不限于微信公众号，各种博客等。我发现在AI时代投喂资料之前，居然需要一个足够好的pdf转换器…… 为此，我找到了各种网页转存pdf工具和扩展插件，发现它们总有各种各样的缺点，有些文件过大，有些存下来的文件名都是乱码无法理解，有些操作的步骤冗长需要3~4步才能转换一个pdf——因此我开发了这个史上最简洁PDF扩展。
While browsing, you only need to do one thing: click the extension icon. It will instantly save the current page as a PDF directly to your Downloads folder. This process offers three key advantages:
- Simplest operation: Just one click—no additional selections or actions needed.
- Readable filenames: The PDF will be saved using the webpage’s title, not incomprehensible garbled text.
- AI-ready content: The PDF preserves selectable text (not just images), ensuring AI tools can read it, all while keeping the file size minimized.
在我们阅读网页的时候，你只需要做一件事情，就是点击icon图标。就会自动存下来一个把当前网页存成一个pdf在你的download的文件夹。这个过程有三个特点。
1）最简操作路径只需一次点击，不需要任何二次的选择或者其他动作。
2）文件名将保持你的网页标题，而不是那些不可理解的乱码。
3）文 Pdf内将保持文字而非截图，确保ai可以读取它们并且文件将被压制缩到最小

WEB to PDF Converter → Installation Guide 网页转PDF神器→ 安装指南 ——————————
- Unzip the downloaded file — you will get a folder named "WEBxPDF".
- Enter the following address in the Chrome address bar: chrome://extensions Press Enter to open the Extensions page, then enable Developer mode in the top-right corner.
- Click "Load unpacked extension" (top-left), and select the "WEBxPDF" folder you just extracted.

1）将zip 解压，你会得到一个文件夹WEBxPDF
2）在Chrome地址栏输入：
chrome://extensions
回车进入扩展安装界面，右上角打开“开发者模式”
3）点左上角的 “加载未打包的扩展程序” ，选择你刚刚解压出来的那个文件夹
